Options to suit to your study background

 

The Master of Information Technology (MInfoTech) offers two options for students from different study backgrounds who would like to advance their ICT career. The programme will help you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to add value to New Zealand's vibrant, dynamic ICT sector.

  • Acquire advanced, specialist technological skills
  • Gain industry experience in the development and commercialisation of products and services
  • Develop an understanding of the demands and expectations of a professional workplace

 

180-point MInfoTech

  • Entry requirements: A relevant bachelors degree (or approved equivalent) with a GPA of ≥ 5 in 75 points at or above Stage III, including at least 45 points in an IT-related field; OR the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology (PGCertInfoTech) with a GPA of ≥ 5
  • Taught at the University of Auckland's City Campus, or the University of Waikato's Hamilton Campus

 

120-point MInfoTech

  • Entry requirements: A relevant bachelors (honours) degree (or approved equivalent) with a GPA of ≥ 5 in 75 points above Stage III, including at least 45 points at 700-level in an IT-related field
  • Taught at the University of Auckland's City Campus, or the University of Waikato's Hamilton Campus
